About the role

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for a team of people.  The plant is 24 hours.  This is a Monday – Friday full-time day shift role, with occasional weekend work and call out as required.

Duties

  • Supervising a team comprising Electricians, PLC Specialists, and Utilities Personnel
  • Oversee preventive electrical maintenance and reactive breakdown repair services across the entire plant.
  • Conduct prestart checks on machinery, perform diagnostic testing on malfunctioning systems, and replace damaged or defective components to minimize business downtime.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders through effective communication and collaboration.

Skills and experience

This role requires a current full NZ Electrical Registration.  You will have experience in leading, coaching and developing teams in a manufacturing environment.

  • Demonstrated expertise in planning and executing preventative electrical maintenance.
  • Experience with AC & DC Electrical Motors, motor starters, control circuits, lighting, 400-volt ring mains, and related distribution systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and maintenance CMMS Software (SAP, Maximo, Workmate, or similar).
